Battle of the boards

The most surprising element of the Bucks’ play was their eagerness to attack the glass, which provided a big boost to get the upper hand over the Celtics in the intangibles aspect of the contest.

For the night, the Bucks outrebounded the Celtics 48-39, which marks the second game in this series in which they’ve won the rebounding battle.

It was on the defensive end where the Bucks’ rebounding activity shone through brightly as they hauled down 41 defensive boards, which subsequently limited the Celtics’ chances to capitalize off of second chance scores.

We’ve already gone over Giannis Antetokounmpo’s contributions in this area of the game, but credit should be given to both Jabari Parker as well as Thon Maker, who pulled down 11 total rebounds and seven boards, respectively.

Make no mistake, it was certainly an adventure at times watching the Bucks occasionally stumble around and writhe on the floor to secure loose balls to keep them out of the Celtics’ collective grasp. But they got the job done doing so all the same.
