Finale

Heading into a seventh matchup between these teams in the space of 13 days, the truth is there’s not a lot more to be said.

Very soon, the series will be settled once and for all, and while coaches and referees will have their influence, it will be the players who will ultimately decide which team advances to the Conference semi-finals

On that front, the Bucks have the best player on the floor, and as Giannis Antetokounmpo showed in Game 6, there’s simply no way to stop him when he’s at his best.

The stats show that the home team wins Game 7 just short of 80 percent of the time, but how often has the best player been on the road team in those games? How often has the lower seed had the advantage of boasting the game’s biggest difference maker?

That doesn’t even account for how well Khris Middleton has played, or the type of positive impact the likes of Jabari Parker, Malcolm Brogdon and Thon Maker have produced.

These Bucks may not be the fully realized team that so many hope they will become, but they’re not the Bucks of years gone by either.

They’ll believe they can do it, and the city of Milwaukee should believe too.
