Weaknesses

As much as he is skilled on the offensive end, primarily scoring the ball, Knox still has to answer the question of how he can contribute beyond that feature of his game.

Although he certainly possesses the measurements and the physical attributes to be a capable defender at the very least, Knox’s willingness and awareness to compete on the defensive end leaves plenty to be desired.

Granted, the same reasons for why Knox struggled to fully flesh out his offensive game at times with the Wildcats this year could also be applied to his defensive limitations when looking at how he fared in college, given he was often played out of his natural position.

On that same note, Knox’s capabilities rebounding the ball may swing how much time he plays as a possible small ball 4 on the NBA level. With the Wildcats this year, Knox hauled down 5.4 rebounds per game and accumulated a 14.5 defensive rebounding percentage, per Sports-Reference.com.

If Knox can steadily improve on his instincts attacking the glass playing at either forward spot, it may be the key to further unlock his game outside of relying on his smooth scoring ability.
