After progressing over his three years at UCLA, point guard Aaron Holiday has officially declared for the 2018 NBA Draft. What does his professional future hold now that he’s on the brink of entering the league?
Who is Aaron Holiday?
Brother to both Jrue and Justin, former UCLA Bruin Aaron Holiday has thrown his hat in the ring by officially declaring for the 2018 NBA Draft back on March 26.
The unsurprising announcement came off the heels of a breakout campaign for the Louisiana-born Holiday, one in which he posted 20.3 points on shooting splits of .461/.429/.828 as well as 5.8 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 33 appearances with the Bruins.
While UCLA’s season did end prematurely as they fell to St. Bonaventure University (shout out to Woj) in the first four of this year’s NCAA Tournament, Holiday’s rise in his junior season has placed him firmly on the radar of teams around the NBA in the lead up to this year’s draft.

This development comes as a welcome surprise, especially after Holiday briefly tested the waters during last year’s draft process before ultimately deciding to return back to the Westwood campus for his junior season this year.
To add to that, Holiday’s role with the Bruins has shifted dramatically over his three years at the school as he came off the bench during his sophomore season to open up a starting spot for current Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball.
There’s no doubt that stood as a motivating factor behind Holiday’s stellar season this year where he took on the mantle left in the wake of Ball, forward T.J. Leaf and Ike Anigbogu making the jump to the NBA from UCLA.
So without further ado, let’s break down Aaron Holiday’s game on both ends of the spectrum, how he is rated by draft experts and examine his potential fit with the Milwaukee Bucks.
