Milwaukee Bucks 2017-18 Season Review: D.J. Wilson
Game of the season
With construction delays pushing back the opening of Menominee Nation Arena, the Herd were forced to open their home regular season account at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, the now former home of the Bucks.
When the time came to christen their newly finished digs back on December 1 against the Iowa Wolves, the Bucks sent down Wilson for their true home season opener in Oshkosh for his first assignment of the season.
In what ended up his first taste of playing time in the regular season, Wilson played a vital factor behind the Herd’s 116-109 win over the Wolves.
Offensively, the Sacrmamento native was knocking down tough shots from the post and beyond the arc while connecting passes to cutting teammates along the baseline to the hoop.
On the defensive end, Wilson’s length and engagement on that end of the floor disrupted the Wolves and subsequently resulted in them coughing up turnovers to jumpstart the Herd on the break.
All in all, Wilson finished with 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field (3-for-5 from three), four rebounds as well as four assists, three steals, one turnover and was a -9 on the night in 29 minutes of action.
