After progressing smoothly over his three seasons at Creighton University, Khyri Thomas may be set to make the jump to the pro ranks in this summer’s NBA Draft. With that, we break down what he has to offer.

Who is Khyri Thomas?

A few weeks after Creighton University bowed out of this year’s NCAA Tournament following their first round loss to Kansas State, versatile guard Khyri Thomas made the decision to declare for the 2018 NBA Draft.

The announcement, though, came with the caveat that he wasn’t fully testing the waters by opting not to hire an agent, something that hasn’t changed a full month since his decision.

With one year left of eligibility, the junior is mulling whether or not to pursue his dream of playing in the NBA or ride out his stay in Omaha to play for the Bluejays for one last year.

It’s a conundrum he spelled out to Jon Nyatawa of the Omaha World-Herald days after declaring for this year’s draft:

"“It’s a dream to pursue what you’ve been always wanting to do, which is to play in the NBA one day,” Thomas said. “But sometimes you’ve got to pump the breaks. Is this actually the right time for me? That’s been, not the stressful part, but the challenging part about it.”"

While he’ll likely get a clearer picture of how teams value him and his game when he attends next week’s NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, Thomas has until May 30 to go through with his decision to fully make the jump or go back to school for his senior season.

Regardless of what path he ultimately takes, the 22-year-old’s future is NBA-bound based on the qualities he possesses, the value he provides and how the league values players of his caliber and skill-set.

So without further ado, let’s break down Khyri Thomas’ game further, examine how draft experts rate him at this moment in time and evaluate his potential fit with the Milwaukee Bucks.
