Game of the season

While the SMU product certainly had solid showings on the NBA level throughout the year, it was Brown’s performance in his first assignment with the Wisconsin Herd that provided a jolt of excitement regarding his prospects as a newly minted NBA player.

In what stood as his first meaningful taste of action in the year, aside from preseason and Summer League play, Brown showed out in the Herd’s 100-92 win over the Windy City Bulls in the affiliate’s regular season home opener at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Brown flashed all of the tools in his arsenal in the first of his three games with the Herd this season on the offensive end as he knocked down shots from beyond the arc, put home an array of tough finishes at the hoop and even created scoring opportunities for his teammates handling the ball.

All in all, Brown posted 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the field (3-for-6 from three), four rebounds, three steals, three turnovers, an assist and was a +9 on the night in his 32-and-a-half minutes of action.

Taking on a more featured role rather than the complementary option he primarily played for the Bucks this season, Brown certainly made the most of his opportunity to fuel the Herd during their hot start to their expansion campaign.
