Having declared for the 2018 NBA Draft following the end of his junior season, Jacob Evans stuck with that decision by hiring an agent late last week. With that, we break down what the Cincinnati swingman has to offer.
Who is Jacob Evans?
After three solid seasons at the University of Cincinnati, Jacob Evans is making the jump as he’s officially declared for the 2018 NBA Draft.
While Evans declared for the draft following the end to the Bearcats’ season this year, one in which they tallied a 31-5 record but were upset by the seventh-seeded Nevada Wolfpack in the second round of this year’s NCAA Tournament, he didn’t initially hire an agent.

That move, or lack thereof, caused some speculation as to whether the 20-year-old would return back to school for his senior season next year.
However, as he relayed to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony at the time of his decision to declare, that was by design as Evans wanted to gauge the feedback on how teams around the league value him:
"“I didn’t sign an agent yet, but I’m entering my name with plans on getting picked in the first round. I’m not just testing to come back to school,” Evans said.”"
Over a month following his initial decision and receiving an invite to this year’s NBA Draft Combine, Evans kept to his word as he officially hired an agent on Friday last week, which was first reported by Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.
So with all of that out of the way, let’s break down Jacob Evans’ game, both the positives and negatives, examine how draft experts are currently rating him in the draft process and evaluate his potential fit with the Milwaukee Bucks.
