Milwaukee Bucks 2017-18 Season Review: Brandon Jennings
Game of the season
A day after his return to the Bucks was made official, Jennings recaptured the imagination of all Bucks fans in his re-debut in the Bucks’ 121-103 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies back on March 12.
Immediately slotting into head coach Joe Prunty’s depth chart, Jennings soaked up his first taste of NBA action in close to a year and provided a near carbon copy of his first game with the Bucks in his rookie season by nearly logging a triple-double.
Throughout his runs on the court, Jennings made a consistent imprint on the Bucks’ win by orchestrating the team’s offense, whether that was distributing the ball to open and cutting teammates or knocking down shots in true Jennings fashion.
All in all, Jennings finished with 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field (3-for-6 from deep), 12 assists, eight rebounds, two turnovers and was a +11 in nearly 24 minutes of action on the night.
It was certainly a way to reintroduce himself to Bucks fans with his return to the NBA and although he expectedly didn’t match the highs of this night in future outings, Jennings crafted a moment to commemorate his long, winding journey back to the league.
