NBA Draft 2018 Prospect Watch: Shake Milton
Fit with the Bucks
With his draft stock seemingly ranging from late in the first round to middle of the second round, at least by those who have tracked him through the years, it feels safe to say that Milton will be on the board by the time the Bucks pick at 17.
Those could easily be famous last words, of course, as Milton could always impress and woo a team slotted ahead of the Bucks in the middle of the first round. As it pertains to Milton’s fit with the Bucks, though, there are plenty of reasons for why he could be enticing to snag at the position they stand in the draft.
We’ve obviously talked a lot about constructing the ideal supporting cast around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Milton possesses plenty of the qualities that are needed when structuring a team around a player of Antetokounmpo’s talents.
That works in the opposite direction too as well, as the areas of Milton’s game that are still a work in progress are off set by the team’s leading players, Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton.
There’s obviously a question over the level of upside Milton possesses and that might sway the Bucks in looking elsewhere with the lone pick they hold in the draft currently.

But as the Bucks continue to search for instant contributors through the draft and look to build up the middle of their roster with valuable role players, Milton definitely warrants consideration at 17, based on what he already brings to the table and the type of player he can become in the coming years.
