Fit with the Bucks

Considering he’s regularly been seen as a late lottery pick or has been projected outside of that range, Brown stands as a legitimate target for the Bucks at 17.

Whether he’ll truly be available by the time the Bucks are on the clock remains to be seen, but Brown certainly checks a number of boxes that makes him an appealing selection at that spot.

The versatility, playmaking potential and defensive prowess Brown boasts are skills that all teams covet in this day and age and the Bucks will be no exception to that, especially since they could stand to boost their small ball lineup capabilities under new head coach Mike Budenholzer.

And with the expectation that Budenholzer and the majority of his staff are traveling with him to Milwaukee, that should give Bucks fans hope that they can help iron out his fledgling three-point efficiency, considering their past successes on that front in recent years.

The fact that Brown stands as one of the younger players in the draft is another point to consider as well and only raises the expectation that the Oregon product will grow into his skill-set in time, barring injury or other circumstances arising.

Seeing that he holds a high floor, Brown is by no means a game changer, in terms of potentially nabbing the Bucks’ next star-level player. But with the Bucks needing an instant contributor through the draft, considering their recent history of first round picks, Brown might be the player to help break that trend.
