After looking to build on his promising freshman campaign last year, University of Miami guard Bruce Brown suffered an injury plagued campaign this season. However, that hasn’t deterred the sophomore from entering the 2018 NBA Draft.

Following a frustrating season at the University of Miami this year, Bruce Brown has elected to make the jump to the next level by officially declaring for the 2018 NBA Draft.

Brown’s name might sound familiar to those who hold a casual interest in the college game, considering he tested the draft waters last year but opted to return back to school for his sophomore year not long after his initial decision to declare for the 2017 NBA Draft.

Coming into the season being named a Third Team Preseason All-American, Brown’s best laid plans for improving his draft stock this year went up in smoke for a variety of reasons.

The biggest of which being the fact that Brown’s season was limited to just 19 games as he missed the Hurricanes’ final 12 games after undergoing surgery on his left foot at the beginning of February.

When he was healthy, however, Brown struggled to improve on the bar he set in his first season in Coral Gables and even regressed in a couple of key areas as it relates to his NBA future/potential, though you wonder how much his health contributed to those marks.

Now looking to recapture the buzz that surrounded him entering the year, Brown stands as a case study for prospects who face similar circumstances when weighing their decision to go pro much like the Boston native did just over a year ago.

So without further ado, let’s examine what Bruce Brown has to offer on both ends of the spectrum, how draft experts rate him at this stage in the process and take a look at how he could potentially fit with the Milwaukee Bucks.
