Quotes:

ESPN’s Jonathan Givony believes many scouts see Kurucs as the third best international player in the draft. Although his stock and indeed draft status may hinge on how he performs in workout visits, Givony summed up why the Latvian will have appeal for NBA teams:

"“Kurucs, 20, is currently slated 39th in the latest ESPN mock draft. His combination of size, polished scoring instincts and multipositional versatility is attractive in today’s NBA.”"

Like many, The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie sees Korucs as a prospect whose stock and indeed ultimate ability is somewhat volatile. As a result, he may be best suited for teams considering draft and stash options.:

"“He’s a good athlete out in space with strong scoring instincts, good handle and an improving jump shot. Defensively, his feet are pretty quick, and his size could allow him to provide some versatility while letting a team stay big. Still, a lot of this is theoretical, as Kurucs has yet to show off his skills at a high level of competition in Europe. If he can get somewhere and do that, he’ll put himself in a much better position. Until then, it’s exceedingly difficult to think of him as anything more than a stash candidate.”"
