NBA Draft: Is Zhaire Smith a first round gamble worth taking for the Bucks?
After bursting on to the scene as a freshman with Texas Tech University this year, guard Zhaire Smith is going down the one-and-done route as he’s declared for the 2018 NBA Draft.
Following the end of Texas Tech University’s season this year, one that concluded in the Elite Eight in this year’s NCAA Tournament, freshman guard Zhaire Smith officially declared for the 2018 NBA Draft.
Initially, Smith’s decision to take the next step in his career came with the caveat that he had not yet hired an agent, something he settled at the end of April.
It all has been a whirlwind eight months or so for Smith, who rose into the collective consciousness among both the college and NBA basketball world in his breakout season with the Red Raiders this year.
