Having experienced four eventful years at Duke University, shooting guard Grayson Allen is taking the next step in his career, which starts by going through the 2018 NBA Draft.
After the Duke Blue Devils were edged out in a 85-81 overtime loss to the University of Kansas in the Elite Eight of this year’s NCAA Tournament, the 2018 NBA Draft stood as the next stop waiting for senior shooting guard Grayson Allen.
With his collegiate career in the books, Allen had wrapped up a stay at the blue blood school that certainly garnered plenty of attention, notoriety and controversy over the course of his four years.
To all those that favor the pro game more and/or follow the college game at a casual level, the infamous tripping incidents that Allen incited during both his sophomore and junior seasons has certainly colored the collective impression surrounding the Jacksonville native.

At the same time, Allen experienced great highs during his time in Durham, most notably being a pivotal factor in the second half of the 2015 NCAA Title Game against the University of Wisconsin, a duel that made him an NCAA Champion.
Considering the roller coaster experience he went on throughout his time at Duke, Allen reflected on how he handled the various ups and downs after being thrust into the spotlight in a recent interview with CBS Sports’ Bill Reiter, which was transcribed by Matt Norlander of CBS Sports:
"“I went through a quick swing of all of that,” Allen said. “You think the end of my freshman year, from nobody really knowing who I was to skyrocketing onto the scene in the national championship game, there’s nothing but good things to say after that. Then you get into the spotlight and it turns to hate. And after I make a few mistakes, it turns to more hate. So I really just had to learn to not think about that kind of stuff, really shut off all the outside opinions, focus on what my family’s telling me, what Coach K’s telling me, what my teammates are telling. Worry about those opinions instead of everything else.”"
Now after something of a return to form in his senior season, Allen is looking to chart a new course for his burgeoning professional career, hopefully one that doesn’t feature as many stumbling blocks.
So without further ado, let’s take a look at what Grayson Allen has to offer, check in with where draft experts rate him at this point in the process and examine his potential fit with the Milwaukee Bucks.
