At long last, it’s the day of the 2018 NBA Draft and with that, we take a look at five prospects who the Milwaukee Bucks may realisitcally consider taking with the 17th overall pick.
After months of scouring through various prospects and combing through the interwebs for tidbits of information regarding workouts, interviews, etc., the 2018 NBA Draft is mere hours from getting underway.
As we’re all aware of by now, the Milwaukee Bucks only hold one pick going into the night, that obviously being the 17th overall selection (that may be subject to change as the night goes on, of course).
We’re also very mindful of how unsuccessful the Bucks have been at picking players at that spot in past drafts as I wrote about earlier this week.

Forecasting this draft, at least from a Bucks perspective, has been more challenging than in previous years, in large part due to the organization opting to keep interviews and workouts behind closed doors to media.
Bucks general manager Jon Horst’s reasoning behind that decision was purely strategic as he explained during his pre-draft media availability to reporters Tuesday afternoon, all of which you can watch here.
For that reason as well as the fluidity of the draft once we get past the top-10 and the lottery as a whole, it’s been hard to get a good read on who exactly will be within range of the Bucks, especially as details and reports have gradually come through in the lead up to the event.
So considering fit, areas of need and a good estimate of who could be on the board by the time they’re on the clock, let’s take a look at five prospects that are seemingly in range for the Milwaukee Bucks to take with the 17th overall pick Thursday night.
