Milwaukee Bucks: 5 realistic options that may be taken 17th overall
Aaron Holiday
Coming from an NBA pedigree, Aaron Holiday is set to join his brothers Jrue and Justin in the league at some point throughout draft night.
Holiday has been a mainstay as a projected pick outside of the lottery and brings an appealing mix of offensive skills, both in terms of being an efficient knockdown shooter who is capable of playing on and off the ball.
That shone through during Holiday’s time at UCLA and especially so throughout his junior campaign this year where he averaged 20.3 points per game on shooting splits of .486/.429/.828.
The limitations surrounding Holiday are that he’s undersized for a point guard (6’1″, though he does have 6’7.5″ wingspan) and is far from a polished playmaker, as evidenced by the fact that he averaged 3.8 turnovers per game to go along with his 5.8 assists per game under a high-usage role (26.7 usage percentage).
But there’s no mistaking the former Bruin’s ability to act as a spark plug and regardless of what role he’ll have long-term on the next level, Holiday has the makings to be a useful piece no matter where he ends up in the draft.
