Milwaukee Bucks: 10 potential veteran minimum NBA free agency targets
By Adam McGee
With cap space set to be limited for the Milwaukee Bucks in NBA free agency, who are the players they could target as veteran minimum bargains?
When NBA free agency opens for another year on Sunday, July 1, the Milwaukee Bucks, like all other teams, will be hoping to improve.
The problem for the Bucks is they don’t have the roster flexibility or cap space required to provide obvious routes to doing that. As a result, and barring a series of unlikely trades, Milwaukee’s front office will have to be more than a little creative this summer.
While the Bucks have spent recent seasons in free agency tying up role players to sizable and costly deals, this year they’re going to be in the market for bargains, and could certainly do with identifying a couple of underrated gems who could help them to balance out their roster.

To achieve that, Milwaukee will likely be left to work with exceptions (bi-annual and mid-level) and veteran minimum contracts. In years past that may have left them with limited options, but in a year where spending is expected to be incredibly restricted, there may well be great value in that range.
Over the coming days, we’re going to take a closer look at some of the players who may be options for the Bucks across those various categories, starting today with veteran minimum contenders.
Projecting salary is always difficult as it just takes one team to far surpass a market evaluation and overpay. Therefore, it goes without saying that some of the players in this range may fetch contracts more in line with the exceptions, and vice versa.
To begin with, let’s look at some of the options who based on ability, previous contracts, demand at their position or health, may fall into veteran minimum consideration for the Bucks this summer.
