Milwaukee Bucks: 10 potential veteran minimum NBA free agency targets
By Adam McGee
Shabazz Muhammad
An outgoing free agent for Milwaukee who impressed in his limited audition time with the Bucks to close out the season, Shabazz Muhammad looked like he may have found something in his game following the first change of scenery of his pro career.
Muhammad enjoyed a strange, inconsistent and complicated tenure with the Timberwolves since being drafted in 2013, but in Milwaukee, he appeared to be a player with renewed energy and purpose as he fought to maintain his place in the NBA.
As the Bucks dealt with injuries late in the year, Muhammad produced standout offensive showings in games against Chicago and Orlando to drive the Bucks to victory, and ultimately even earned some minutes in the playoffs.
Muhammad certainly has his flaws as his shooting has been underwhelming throughout his career, the ball tends to stop when it moves to him, and his defense can be left wanting, yet those issues didn’t really present themselves during his brief time with the Bucks.
Perhaps the Bucks count their blessings, consider themselves lucky to have benefited from positive contributions from Muhammad, and move on without a second thought this summer. Of course, there’s always the possibility they may be open to taking another look at what he has to offer.

Muhammad pledged to spend the offseason working on his three-point range, and progress in that department would certainly make him a more interesting option to return to Milwaukee for another year.
