Derrick Favors

Derrick Favors has been one of the NBA’s most solid and well-rounded big men for a number of years, yet has frequently flown under the radar due to the outstanding frontcourt options the Jazz have boasted throughout his tenure in Salt Lake City.

Playing behind and alongside the likes of Paul Millsap, Al Jefferson and Rudy Gobert, Favors has never really had the chance to be the frontcourt anchor his skills certainly suggest he’s capable of being in the NBA.

In spite of not always playing a central role, Favors is an important piece of Utah’s success on both ends under Quin Snyder, and there’s at least a mutual interest in continuing their relationship into next season and beyond.

Favors has the strength and size to go to work inside, dominate the glass, and be an imposing defensive presence at the rim, while also possessing elements of touch, vision and athleticism that ensure he’s far from an easy cover for any opposing center.

Considering the Bucks’ frequent and long-running issues at center, a player as consistent as Favors really holds the potential to be the answer to all of their problems at that position.

There’s certainly no guarantee that he won’t attract offers out of Milwaukee’s price range, but if Favors could be snapped up with an offer at the full MLE, he could be a game-changing addition for the Bucks.
