What if Jabari gets a huge offer sheet from another team?

It seems unlikely that this will happen as Parker’s two ACL injuries alone should be enough to scare teams off making a commitment that ties up both significant money and multiple years.

This is part of the reason why Parker may even end up considering the qualifying offer. If he can prove he can stay healthy for a year, he could significantly increase his value and hit the open market in the more cash-rich 2019 free agency.

If Parker does end up with a particularly rich offer sheet, though, the Bucks should let him walk. A sign and trade could certainly be explored, but at a really high price, the chance of the Bucks getting value of any kind back via that route would probably become less likely.

The decision the Bucks make with Parker, and then the options and level of success they have in 2019 free agency will likely determine the fate of this current roster.

Parker’s free agency represents one of the Bucks’ biggest decisions to date, and one that could prove decisive years down the line in the futures of Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks need to get this one right, but they’ll also need to make the right decisions to follow it up too.
