Can Sterling continue to improve?

Sterling Brown has built up an impressive collection of positive moments and plays throughout his first three games in Summer League this year, but most notably of all, he has also improved his level of play with each passing game.

After a solid performance in the opener against the Pistons, Brown was asked to be more assertive against the Mavericks and excelled in that role until a rough fourth quarter showing. Bouncing back from that the very next night, Brown continued to initiate for himself and others against the Nuggets, while also scoring at a greater volume and doing so much more efficiently.

Considering the flashes of potential and ability Brown displayed in the NBA as a rookie last year, it always seemed possible that he would look a little too accomplished for Summer League. On Thursday, he will have a chance to do just that.

For his development, signs of improved ball-handling, shooting and scoring are all beneficial for Brown and his role on the Bucks, but leading the team to a win in a competition round could be equally significant from the standpoint of his mental development too.
