Reaching for the second round

The Bucks have famously failed to win a first round NBA playoff series since 2001, but the reality is they’ve had minimal success in competition play in Summer League over the years too.

Since the event in Las Vegas took on something close to its current form, the Bucks have picked up just a single win in competition play, therefore never advancing beyond the second round.

That single win came against the Houston Rockets back in 2015, where after an 0-3 run-in to the tournament, the Bucks eked their way into the second round before suffering a 26-point defeat to the Phoenix Suns.

Of course, this is Summer League and none of it really matters — I’m sorry if you’ve made it this far without knowing that and now feel like you’ve been cheated — but the Bucks have at least one more game left after this one, so why not make it a competition game worth winning?
