The latest episode of our Win In 6 Podcast arrives as we look back on some of the greatest teams and seasons in Milwaukee Bucks history.

The latest episode of our Win In 6 Podcast arrives as we continue our Milwaukee Bucks history month, and shine our focus on some of the greatest teams in franchise history, and the seasons those teams produced.

While optimism abounds as to what the current iteration of the Bucks can achieve led by Giannis Antetokounmpo under the guidance of Mike Budenholzer, in spite of a recent drought, the franchise has a history of great teams for them to live up to.

The Bucks’ most successful and dominant phase certainly arrived in the early 70s, but with continued winning throughout the 80s, and a glimpse of a return to former glories at the turn of the century, Milwaukee has had its fair share of impressive squads.

More from Bucks History

To get started on this occasion, we talked about the incredible success of the early Bucks teams and the reasons for their ascension, and also what held them back from further championships in those early stages.

From there, we moved on to discussing the 80s Bucks who were the picture of consistency, yet always just one step behind the legendary Celtics and 76ers teams they were forced to do battle with.

We also talked about the short-lived resurgence of the Bucks in 2001, and what could have been if the Bucks had found some way — any way — to prolong their window of opportunity.

Lastly, we fielded questions from a mostly history-themed mailbag.

Joining me for this episode, taking time out of rehearsals with his barber shop quarter, is Jordan Treske.
