Eric Bledsoe

NBA 2K19 Rating: 81 (Previously: 84)

Unlike Middleton, it seems 2K19 took notice of Bledsoe’s playoff performance against the Celtics and adjusted his rating accordingly. I won’t defend Bledsoe’s anemic playoff performance and can understand see why 2K19 docked him some points for it, but three total overall points?

Bledsoe still averaged 17 points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals per game last season. That’s pretty good! His numbers show a well-rounded game that usually equates to a high overall score for a player, so what’s the deal 2K?

At 81 overall, Bledsoe is seen on the same level as Dennis Schröder. Dennis Schröder? Schröder may have averaged more points per game than Bledsoe last year (19.4), but did so with a much lower effective field goal percentage (46.9 percent vs Bledsoe’s 54 percent). Also, Bledsoe offered much better defensive counting stats than Schröder, who averaged just barely one steal a game.

Put some respect on Bledsoe’s name, NBA 2K19. The man may have had a bad playoff series, but he’s still better than Dennis Schröder for crying out loud.

Verdict: Foul
