Carve out consistent role within rotation

The Bucks have a whole host of options on the wing heading into the season, ranging from the veteran-minded Tony Snell, the potential sharpshooter in Pat Connaughton and the budding 3-and-D wing in Sterling Brown.

Additionally, the Bucks are well stocked at the point guard position with Eric Bledsoe, Malcolm Brogdon and Matthew Dellavedova comprising that spot heading into the season.

All of that means that DiVincenzo faces plenty of competition across both backcourt spots and isn’t guaranteed to see steady minutes within Budenholzer’s rotation heading into the season.

With that said, there are a couple of factors to consider that indirectly influence where DiVincenzo ranks on the depth chart from what we’ve initially seen of the Coach Bud-led Bucks from reports during training camp and the early going in this year’s preseason. The biggest one being the speculation that Brogdon is seemingly in pole position to enter the year as the Bucks’ starting 2-guard.

Starting lineup speculation aside, some level of stock will be placed on how well DiVincenzo’s first impression playing on the NBA level goes and should he pass that test capably or with flying colors, it will likely foreshadow how much of an impact he will have on the Bucks all throughout his rookie campaign.
