Improve as scoring threat at the rim

While Brown’s primary appeal centers around his 3-and-D potential, being able to occasionally create and capitalize on scoring opportunities at the rim remains the next frontier for him to tackle.

That comes after Brown displayed plenty of struggles trying to put down high percentage looks at the basket throughout his first year in the league, seeing that he converted 32 of his 65 attempts (49.2 percent) from within the restricted area.

It should be noted that Brown proved to be capable in having to put the ball down on the floor and bully his way through the paint when run off the three-point line. Nevertheless, being able to find the bottom of the net when maneuvering toward the basket remained elusive at times, whether due to his average vertical athleticism or limited expertise in that area of his game.

Taking what opposing defenses offer or exploiting aggressive closeouts could be a facet in Brown’s arsenal or offensive output, considering his solid skills with the ball in his hands.

In order to do so, Brown must improve his touch and focus in on the small things such as his body control when charging to the rim to see his efficiency attacking the basket take a jump in percentage points.
