Cleaning up the turnovers

In what was one of the few black marks in their win over the Magic, the Bucks’ nagging turnover problem reared its ugly head again last night.

On the night, the Bucks tallied 21 turnovers, which tied the early season-high they set during their regular season opening win over the Hornets a little more than a week ago. Luckily, the Magic weren’t able to burn the Bucks on their miscues to the degree one would have expected as the Magic edged out 16 points off of those many turnovers.

Now some of that was clearly inflated by the fourth quarter minutes the Bucks’ clean up crew got to put on the finishing touches for the contest.

Even with that noted, the Bucks as a whole have been careless with the ball, considering they have logged the fourth-highest amount of turnovers per game and stand with the fifth-highest turnover ratio, per NBA.com/stats.

With their schedule about to get tougher with some of the league’s most well-rounded teams coming up on the slate, that could be the area where the Bucks might not experience the same kind of luck as they’ve dealt with to this point.

It will be a battle of the two remaining undefeated teams when the Bucks take on the Toronto Raptors Monday night at Fiserv Forum for a 7pm CT tip.
