Khris’ first All-Star Game

Antetokounmpo wasn’t the only Bucks player to show out Sunday night as his right hand man, Khris Middleton, soaked up the spotlight in his first All-Star appearance.

Like his long standing running mate, Middleton came out with a bang once he entered the game midway through the first quarter by knocking down triples in relatively quick succession. By the end of the first quarter, Middleton joined Antetokounmpo in double figures thanks to his scorching start from long range.

While Middleton mostly let it fly throughout the night, he couldn’t help but join in the dunking fun as he picked Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James cleanly to set up an easy two-handed breakaway slam dunk. Whether it adds to the season competition he has with teammate Eric Bledsoe is yet to be determined.

All in all, Middleton put up 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field (6-of-10 from deep), five rebounds, four assists, one turnover, and was a +3 in over 21 minutes burn off the bench.

In what stands as a high-mark on his growing résumé, it’s safe to say that Middleton took in all of the extra attention that came his way throughout All-Star weekend and deservingly so.
