Milwaukee Bucks: Ranking potential Eastern Conference playoff matchups
4. Philadelphia 76ers
Remember when the NFL’s 2011 Philadelphia Eagles stockpiled a number of talented individual players in the offseason, and backup quarterback Vince Young proclaimed them the “Dream Team” before even taking the field? And remember the comical disaster that unfolded?
The parallels are there, starting with the city itself.
I like Tobias Harris a lot, but how will he fare being an afterthought in the offense? Jimmy Butler is a great talent… you know, I’ll Just leave it at that. Joel Embiid, currently dealing with yet another leg injury, is the superstar here, but there are four other mouths to feed when you also include Ben Simmons and J.J. Redick.
The 76ers don’t have much time left to sort it all out, and I lean towards them not being able to. I think this series goes five games, and maybe six if Embiid is back to 100 percent and Harris and Redick get hot from distance.
Projected Series Result: 4-2 Bucks
