Red Region

(4) Marques Johnson  defeated (29) Alton Lister

Unsurprisingly, on the day when his No. 8 jersey ascended to the rafters in Fiserv Forum, Johnson eased his way into the second round with one of the most dominant wins so far. Lister was always outmatched in this matchup, but the margin of victory and current buzz surrounding Johnson could give him an added boost over the remainder of the tournament. As a real fan favorite for many reasons, Johnson could scare Abdul-Jabbar in a Final Four showdown.

(13) Bob Lanier defeated (20) Alvin Robertson

A comfortable win for Dobber, who was in Milwaukee this weekend to celebrate his friend Marques Johnson’s big day. Lanier’s best days undoubtedly came in Detroit, but he helped contribute to continued success with the Bucks and remains a very popular figure to this day.

(5) Bob Dandridge defeated (28) Ersan Ilyasova

Considering the competition he was facing here, Ilyasova did remarkably well to take such a high percentage of the vote. Dandridge is a true legend, the picture of consistency, one of the most prolific Bucks of all-time, and of course, an NBA champion. If there are no upsets in this region in round two, Johnson vs. Dandridge should be a titanic battle in the Elite Eight.

(9) Junior Bridgeman defeated (23) Brandon Jennings

Before he gave an introductory address for Marques Johnson on Sunday, Bridgeman had already survived a nail-biting matchup to make his way into the second round. One of the rare matchups to split the vote in different directions between Facebook and Twitter, Jennings took the edge on the former, while Bridgeman was the victor among a larger voting body on the latter. The end result was as close as could be, but the Bucks’ all-time appearance leader lived to fight another day.
