Bucks Gaming advance to knockout round of NBA 2K League Tip-Off Tournament

Game 2 – Jazz Gaming
With little time to catch their breath, and no real reason to change, Bucks GG ran with the same starting lineup and archetypes for their clash with Jazz Gaming.
Boasting Ria at center, the No.1 overall pick in this year’s draft, and Yeah I Compete, who was selected third overall last year, the Jazz provided yet another tough test for Milwaukee.
A strong start suggested Bucks GG may just have been able to pick up right where they left off, though. BigMeek got the scoring going with a fadeaway two, ARooks drilled a long ball to show he was still feeling it from deep, and Bucks GG held a 14-11 lead after the first.
Corner threes from Meek and Slay were both positive signs early in the second, but Milwaukee’s offense did start to bog down a little in that period. Put simply, turnovers began to kill Bucks GG and would ultimately prove to be their downfall in this matchup. Heading into halftime, it was the Jazz out in front by 32-27.
The Bucks would fight back in the third quarter, again getting down to what was essentially their bread and butter on Friday night. ARooks and chaddynick were both able to hit from three, while the Bucks’ defense picked it up to limit the Jazz to just 11 points in the period. With one quarter remaining, it was all knotted up at 43.
A strong burst from the Jazz to open the fourth left the Bucks in some trouble, but Milwaukee did not lie down. Trailing by six points, Bucks GG went on a 7-0 run comprised of an ARooks triple, a BigMeek slam, and a go-ahead bucket from chaddynick. That left Bucks GG leading 54-53 with 1:14 left, and with a great chance to seal qualification with a second win.
A big time three-pointer from the Jazz’s KevDontMiss turned the game on its head once more, though, and the Bucks weren’t able to chase Utah down again from there.
