Do the players care about 60?

With just two games remaining in the regular season, there’s no doubt that Bucks fans are eager to see their team hit the 60-win mark for the first time in 38 years.

The most relevant question surrounding those two remaining games might be whether the players themselves care about the nominal value of a 60-win season?

It’s clear that wrapping up the best record in the NBA matters, due to the obvious implications that come attached with that in terms of status. The Bucks were the best team in the NBA over 82 games, and that is no longer up for debate.

For Milwaukee’s players, 60 may just be another number, though. It’s certainly unlikely to be a goal they’ll risk sacrificing their health or rhythm for, with their eyes obviously shifting to the challenges ahead.

Winning 60 games would act as the icing on the cake for a season that has been historic for the Bucks in so many ways, but whether that will give the players an extra push to reach that mark remains to be seen.

The game will be televised on Fox Sports Wisconsin, with tip-off from Fiserv Forum set for 6pm CT on Sunday night.
