Iowa State’s Talen Horton-Tucker stands out as one of the most unique prospects in this year’s NBA Draft, but should the Milwaukee Bucks be interested?
After just one season of college basketball at Iowa State, Talen Horton-Tucker is aiming to move on swiftly to the NBA.
A Chicago native who played his high school basketball at Simeon, the breeding ground for current NBA players Derrick Rose and Jabari Parker, Horton-Tucker stands out as one of the youngest prospects in this year’s draft class.

That may well leave some to question why Horton-Tucker, who is only 18-years-old, opted for the one-and-done route, particularly as his quirky game and physical profile may have benefited further from another year of coaching, along with scouts becoming even more accustomed to what he could be at the next level.
For Horton-Tucker, the decision was a simple one it seems, although he did admit to ESPN that it came along sooner than he expected:
"“When I enrolled at Iowa State my goal was to be a NBA player, but I didn’t know that it would come as fast as it did.”"
At the moment, it looks as if that gamble will pay off, with Horton-Tucker widely mocked for a spot in the back end of the first round. If he’s still around for the 30th pick, though, should the Milwaukee Bucks be interested? Let’s take a closer look at his game.
