5. Who, if anyone, stood out in a positive light in this series?
Dan Larsen (@DanLarsen34): Malcolm Brogdon was the standout player for me. His defense on Kawhi Leonard was incredible, and his offense helped provide Milwaukee with a spark when they needed it. Brogdon was the only player outside of Antetokounmpo who could drive and score around the rim with any kind of consistency throughout the series. He also hit a couple of difficult shots late in games when it looked like the Bucks were on the verge of losing.
We knew the Bucks missed him in the first two rounds of the playoffs, but his value was really shown through in this series. Had they not had him to turn to, things might have been a lot worse.
Theo Konstantellos (@theokon7): Malcolm Brogdon was remarkably consistent which is extremely helpful especially in the playoffs. Really solid on both ends of the floor as always. He was by far the biggest net positive for the Bucks on the floor in this series.
Jordan Treske (@JordanTreske): Malcolm Brogdon certainly deserves a shout, but I’m going to shine a light on Brook Lopez, who was arguably the most composed player the Bucks had throughout the series. The fact that not only was he the team’s second-leading scorer in the series but his personal comebacks in Games 1 and 6 were wholly impressive. And while he had moments of where his defensive tendencies or decisions to switch on to Raptors players that eventually capitalized on such choices, he was by far the most consistent Bucks frontcourt player.
Adam McGee (@AdamMcGee11): All of the above, Malcolm was incredible but if I had to pick one, Brook would have been my pick. Particularly after struggling against Boston, his response was fantastic, and he was one of the few Bucks who looked locked in and composed throughout on both ends.
