The best of Frazier

Frazier has a long-standing reputation as one of the NBA’s more underrated and efficient playmakers, so much so that I’ve written about it in detail in the past.

The 28-year-old is an excellent passer, and yet avoids the urge to overcomplicate things. Frazier thrives in unselfishly making the simple passes to his teammates, and he does so while taking great care of the ball in the process.

Frazier’s assist-to-turnover ratio frequently ranks among the best of all NBA guards, and it was no different in his spell with the Bucks. With 3.5 assists per game counteracted by just 1.3 turnovers, Frazier amassed a 2.7 assist-to-turnover ratio with the Bucks, which is impressive considering some of the quirkier scenarios that can present themselves in the kind of end of game minutes that he mostly had to rely on.

Also key to Frazier’s positive contributions when he took to the floor with the Bucks was his excellent three-point shooting. Long-range shooting has often been a source of frustration for Frazier, but having combined to go 13-of-30 (43.3 percent) across the regular season and the playoffs with Milwaukee, he can certainly look back on that element of his season with real pride.

Frazier also deserves credit for his defensive effort. At just 6’0″ tall, it’s increasingly difficult for Frazier to be a plus-defender in the modern NBA, but he can be relied on to lock in and do all that he can to help on that end of the floor.
