Game of the season

After hitting a clutch three-pointer with less than one second remaining to send the game to overtime in a preseason meeting against the Thunder, the sight of Oklahoma City in the regular season brought the best out of Tim Frazier again.

With Milwaukee’s focus fixed firmly on the playoffs, Khris Middleton was the only regular starter to log any minutes in the Bucks’ regular season finale against OKC. As a result that led to major opportunity for Frazier, and not for the first time down the stretch, Mike Budenholzer ensured that Frazier gave him everything he could.

Having played every second of a 53-minute overtime game against the Hawks just over a week earlier, Frazier was tasked with playing all 48 minutes against the Thunder on this occasion.

Frazier certainly made the most of that opportunity, taking control of the Bucks’ offense and dictating their play on every trip down the floor offensively.

Frazier scored a career-high 29 points on 10-of-23 from the field, went 4-of-6 from deep, and 5-of-7 from the free throw line.

Beyond his scoring, Frazier also shaped the game with his playmaking. Frazier is an outstandingly efficient distributor, and that bore out on this occasion with 13 assists and only three turnovers to counteract them.

Frazier topped his night off with six rebounds, but all of that wasn’t enough as the backup Bucks fell to an 11-point loss. Still, it acted as a nice showcase for what Frazier can do.
