Summer focus and final grade

Colson’s summer plans were long set in motion throughout the Bucks’ playoff run, considering he was ineligible to play in the postseason being on a two-way contract.

Despite that, Colson told Brendan Kurie of South Coast Today in late April that he’s been working closely with Bucks assistant coach Vin Baker and the results of that and the workout regiments he’s been on are already paying dividends:

"“They have me on a 10-week program to get ready,” he said. “I’ve been working out, conditioning, getting shots up. I’m on a crazy schedule and I’m seeing results. My body is changing, I’m getting stronger and faster. That’s what I want.”"

Hopefully, that will result in a standout showing during this year’s Summer League where Colson, along with Donte DiVincenzo and whoever the Bucks take with the 30th overall pick in this year’s draft, will be the most notable representatives for the squad.

And while his two-way contract was reportedly signed for two years when he joined the Bucks, we’re well aware about how disposable and cyclical two-way players can be for teams around the league, including Milwaukee.

So all eyes will be on what Colson does in his first trip to Vegas as a pro in less than a month. It may end up being crucial to him extending his stay with the Bucks.

BTBP Final Grade: C

Our season reviews will continue over the next week as we work our way through every player on the Bucks’ roster.
