After completing a full four-year stay at Ole Miss, Terence Davis is fighting to make the NBA and rapidly rising up NBA Draft boards.
Terence Davis has become one of the more unlikely risers of this year’s draft process so far, but his status as a prospect really seems to be beginning to crystalize in the run-up to next week’s draft.
A solid but largely unsung player at Ole Miss, Davis has spent the last few months fighting for invitations to key scouting events such as the Portsmouth Invitational, G League Elite Camp, and the NBA Draft Combine.

Through the kind of hard work and persistence he’s known for on the court, he secured those invitations and left a meaningful impression at all three events, and has continued to make progress on the workout trail, having reportedly earned callback looks from the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors.
A high school football star who could have been destined for great things as a wide receiver, Davis shunned the more comfortable path to the pros that football may have offered for him in order to pursue his first love of basketball.
Thanks to work ethic, that gamble may ultimately pay off, and based on the words of Mississippi head coach Kermit Davis, there’s no reason to believe he can’t yet make an impact in the NBA:
"“TD is going to know exactly what his job is [in the NBA]. It doesn’t matter what role they put him in, he’s going to accept it. That’s a big part of his success. He’s going to live in the gym and hang on every word they say. There’s no doubt he’s talented enough to play in the NBA.”"
With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at what Davis’ game looks like from a strengths and weaknesses perspective, as well as considering his potential fit with the Milwaukee Bucks.
