After developing his versatile game at the University of Nebraska for the last three seasons, junior forward Isaiah Roby is taking the next step in his career by entering this year’s NBA Draft.

For promising prospects who may be on the bubble or lack security in being taken in the NBA Draft, a strong showing, or lack thereof, at the NBA Draft Combine can make or break their decision to jump to the pros.

That was certainly the case for Isaiah Roby, who wrapped up his three-year stay at the University of Nebraska after taking part in this year’s combine in Chicago.

Following a tumultuous season in Lincoln, which was followed up by a strange process that ended up with former NBA head coach Fred Hoiberg taking over the program under the same position, Roby evaluated his options after completing his solid junior season.

But as he told Matt Schoch for the Lincoln Journal Star while in Chicago, Roby had bookmarked his combine showing for a long time and it certainly seems like he was leaning towards making the jump rather returning for his senior campaign well before the event:

"“I’ve been looking forward to this week for a long time, especially to play in these games,” Roby said. “This whole summer, NBA workouts or just training in general. I’m going into every gym thinking I’m the best player. I’m just trying to prove that to teams.”"

After being assured that his NBA future is bright following a solid showing at the combine, Roby is taking the plunge by going through with entering the professional ranks.

In his 33 appearances during his junior season with the Cornhuskers, Roby averaged 11.8 points on .454/.333/.677, 6.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.3 steals across 31.2 minutes per contest.

So without further ado, let’s break down what Isaiah Roby has to offer, exploring his strengths, his deficiencies, where draft experts rate him currently and his potential fit with the Milwaukee Bucks.
