With forwards and big men still to come later in the week, this time around my focus shifts to the wings and a role and archetype that has become increasingly important in the NBA over the past five years or so.
As teams have leaned more into versatility, in both lineups and style of play, the value and utility of wings with well-rounded skill-sets has soared.
From a Milwaukee perspective, they’re by no means short on options in that department either. They’ll hope to bring Khris Middleton back to lead their wing corps next season, but even beyond him, Sterling Brown, Tony Snell and Donte DiVincenzo represent capable options without even considering the possibility of other guards or forwards on the roster assuming wing roles.
With that considered, it may seem unlikely or at least unnecessary for the Bucks to further bolster their stocks at the shooting guard and small forward spots, but there’s arguably no better role in which to be overstocked with options in today’s NBA.
So, without further ado, let’s take a closer look at five wings who may pique the Bucks’ interest with the 30th overall pick later in the week.
