Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year/NBA Cares Community Assist/NBA Sportsmanship Awards

You may be wondering why I’ve grouped what could loosely be described as the NBA’s “Good Guy” awards together, and the explanation is a simple one: Khris Middleton is nominated for all three.

The only other player to be nominated in all three categories is Mike Conley, who was very recently traded from the Memphis Grizzlies to the Utah Jazz.

This puts Middleton in incredibly rare company as a player who is being recognized by his teammates, his opponents, and the community for his good work in all departments.

Middleton has a potentially life-changing few days ahead as he awaits the beginning of a free agency that could reward him with a max contract with the Bucks, or see him uprooting his family to move to an entirely new city.

For as much as Middleton’s play has proved divisive at times among Bucks fans, nobody could complain about how Middleton has carried himself throughout his time in Milwaukee. These three nominations speak to his character, and with a bit of luck he’ll come away with at least one award to show for his good work.
