Mike Scott

The Philadelphia 76ers’ front office will be busy doing all that they can to fight off competition from elsewhere to keep Tobias Harris and Jimmy Butler, but the franchise’s fans will be just as eager to see Mike Scott return.

Scott’s personality came to the fore following his late season move to the 76ers, making it easy for Philadelphia fans to embrace him while he was also performing at an incredibly high level on the court.

The 30-year-old enjoyed a good season overall, although heading into free agency he will certainly have benefited from the increased role and playoff exposure he got after making the move from the Clippers to the 76ers.

Combined, Scott shot 40.1 percent from deep last year, making it his second consecutive season hitting the all-important 40 percent mark from three-point range.

Scott’s value is almost entirely tied up in his ability to provide an offensive spark, as Mike Budenholzer will know from the pair’s four years together in Atlanta. Having said that, Scott possesses real toughness and has reliably proved a popular player with teammates and fans wherever he’s played.

Again, his shooting could take him out of Milwuakee’s price range, but adding more efficient shooters remains a must when it comes to the Bucks drawing up potential free agent targets.
