Looking to bounce back
After falling in their Summer League opener, the Bucks will be looking forward to tallying their first win in Las Vegas against the Hawks.
It was far from a perfect performance, one befitting of Summer League as we’re all aware of. However, the fourth quarter comeback the Summer League Bucks crafted yesterday afternoon showed plenty of heart and the fact that it was largely provided by non-rostered players such as Daulton Hommes, Jock Landale and more is a promising indication of the undrafted players, etc. the front office added over the last few weeks.
But one player that all Bucks fans will be looking to rebound from their loss Friday afternoon is swingman Sterling Brown. The SMU alum posted 13 points on 17 shots (1-for-4 from deep), seven rebounds, four turnovers, one assist and one steal in his 28 and a half minutes of action.
Although he’s tasked with a more leading role in Vegas than he’s accustomed to playing alongside the Bucks’ supporting cast, his miscues and general inconsistency were a big blemish on his outing overall.
With that said, we’ll welcome the aggressiveness the 24-year-old routinely showed and credit goes to the 76ers’ pair of athletic and long big men in Christ Koumadje and two-way player Norvel Pelle to make Brown’s offensive showing a rough one in that regard.
