More Summer League debuts?

While we got plenty of looks at a number of incumbent Bucks players and newcomers Friday afternoon, there’s still a few debuts we’re waiting on going into their meeting with the Hawks.

Bucks fans have certainly been looking forward to seeing sharpshooting guard Fletcher Magee let it fly throughout his time in Vegas after the organization picked him up following draft night this year, but he was a DNP-CD Friday afternoon. Same goes for former University of North Carolina forward Luke Maye as well UNLV alum, Kris Clyburn.

As far as players from outside of this year’s draft go, Notre Dame product Matt Farrell rode the pine as well and it’s unclear if all four will get some shine Saturday afternoon, though conventional wisdom would suggest they will, barring injury.

Speaking of injury, third-year Bucks forward D.J. Wilson was held out of Friday’s game with hamstring soreness as Eric Nehm of The Athletic relayed:

It wouldn’t be all that surprising to see the Bucks’ coaching staff take it easy with Wilson, but until further notice, his status will be among the hottest questions Bucks fans have on their minds throughout their run in Vegas.

You can catch the Bucks’ Summer League tilt with the Atlanta Hawks at 4 p.m. central time Saturday afternoon. It’s currently slated to broadcast on NBA TV.
