5. Ersan Ilyasova – 2K20 Rating: 76

Sharing in a 76 rating with Matthews, the idea of Ersan Ilyasova possibly being the Bucks’ fifth best player is probably enough to make a particularly vocal and critical section of the fandom lose their minds.

Even as an unabashed supporter of what Ilyasova has to offer, I’d have no issue in acknowledging this rating likely over-exaggerates his importance to the team.

Having said that, the rating itself isn’t by any means unfair based on his long-term impact with a variety of different teams. In fact, Ilyasova began last year’s game as a 77 before ultimately finishing the year at 75.

In game, Ilyasova’s positional versatility provides real value, though, as does his mix of average to above average skills. The ranking of Bucks’ players would likely make more sense if Hill was a 78 or 79, but Ilyasova at 76 is about right. After all, who doesn’t simply buy the game to perfect their charge-taking and tip-ins with the Turkish Thunder, right?
