D.J. Wilson
Wilson on what he learned with an increased role last season:
"“I think I made great progress. I think with the reps and the minutes that I was given, the game kind of slowed down naturally for me, so I think that was probably the biggest thing. And then along with that comes the confidence to go out and play your game.”"
Wilson on the prospect of having veterans ahead of him in the pecking order:
"“For me it’s no different than how I prepared for last year, I just don’t happen to have messed up my hamstring this time. Just learn, it’s a great learning experience. I’ve got great vets in the locker room that I can learn from now so why not ask questions, have an open ear, learn from them as much as possible. So when my number is called and it’s time for me to go out there, I’ll have an extra sense of whatever it may be that I’ve learned from them and can apply to the game.”"
Wilson on how recent scrimmages prepare the team for training camp:
"“I think, for me, it’s great heading into training camp. It’s kind of something that we’ve been doing for the last month or so from Monday through Thursday, so it shouldn’t really be anything new, just finding some things here or there. But like I said we have a great group of guys, a lot of us are already back, and we’re comfortable amongst one another. I think that if anything it brings us closer as a unit.”"
