Brook Lopez

Brook on what it will be like to play with his brother Robin:

"“It’s going to be fun. We’re going to have a great time. We’re going to be competitive. We’re going to give our everything. I’ve been telling people, when we’re out there, whenever Robin and I play together we always have each other’s backs. You know, if someone makes a mistake or blows a defensive assignment and gets beat, we got the other one. That’s kind of how this team works too, so it fits perfectly in that regard.”"

Brook on why he decided to re-sign with Milwaukee:

"“I think everyone as a unit feels that we have unfinished business. Obviously making it to the Eastern Conference Finals, we had a great season, but we think there’s so much more room for us to grow and so much for us to achieve, and last season was just the start of something special.”"

Brook on World Cup disappointment with Team USA:

"“Still, it was an incredible experience. I’m very thankful to have had the opportunity to be a part of the team and to partake in that experience. And it was the best group of guys, you couldn’t ask for a better group. And player-wise, coaching staff-wise, I think I learned a lot from everyone. It was a fantastic summer, it was a month-and-a-half, two months long, but it was an unforgettable experience that’s going to stay with me forever.”"

Brook on whether he and Robin can share the court together:

"“Robin and I definitely complement each other very well, and we’ve always, whenever we’ve been on the same team, played together. I would always be the 4, he would be the 5, and we have very complementary games. That’s something we’ve talked about with Bud. When they flew out to talk to me during free agency, that’s something they brought up to me first actually. They were like, ‘How do you feel about playing with your brother?’, and I had no idea this was going on so it shocked me honestly. And once I got over the initial shock and knew they were serious, then we talked about it and he mentioned, ‘I’d love to play you guys together at times.’ So it’s definitely something we’re looking at going forward into the season.”"
