Milwaukee Bucks: 10 most intriguing games this season
By Brennan Olin
4. Wed, Dec. 25, Milwaukee Bucks at Philadelphia 76ers
Arena: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA
TV: ABC
Merry Christmas, Bucks fans! For a second straight year, and only the sixth time in franchise history, the Bucks will play on Christmas Day, and this time we get to see Giannis Antetokounmpo vs. Joel Embiid. That’s quite the Christmas present.
It’s also quite the accomplishment for the small market Milwaukee Bucks. Before last year, the last time Milwaukee played on Christmas was in 1977. Playing on Christmas signifies relevance in the NBA, so it’s nice to see the Bucks getting some respect. They still can’t get a home game unfortunately, but maybe if they win the East this year, they’ll get to play host next year.
This is the first chance we’ll get to see how the Bucks fare against the weird, new-look Sixers, who are the Bucks’ biggest threat to them winning the East.
3. Sat, Oct. 26, Milwaukee Bucks vs Miami Heat
Arena: Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee, WI
TV: NBA TV, Fox Sports Wisconsin
After a long offseason, we’re all craving Bucks basketball. There’s no better way to satisfy that craving than the home opener. It’s the first opportunity to meet the new team, and to get a taste of meaningful basketball. We’ll finally get a glimpse at what Coach Budenholzer’s rotations will be, and what roles the new additions to the team will play.
This game is also our first chance to see the new-look Miami Heat. With the additions of Jimmy Butler and Milwaukee native, Tyler Herro, the Heat may be a surprise contender in the East. This game is sure to be a fun one.
