Wisconsin Herd: Meet the 2019-20 opening night roster
Cam Reynolds
The second of the two-way players, Cam Reynolds will look to build on the foundation he built in the G League for the majority of his rookie season last year.
Reynolds quickly found a home with the Sacramento Kings organization after going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft and eventually grew into a crucial contributor for the Stockton Kings, their G League affiliate.
Thanks to his sharpshooting from downtown, Reynolds sported meaningful improvements in his shooting stroke where he knocked down 41.9 percent of his 234 three-point tries in Stockton, all of which fueled the 16 points he averaged over his 33 appearances in the G League last season.
As a result, the Tulane product got on the radar of both Team USA to finish out their run of FIBA World Cup qualifying under head coach Jeff Van Gundy in February earlier this year as well as receiving a call up to the Minnesota Timberwolves, whom Reynolds finished out the rest of the season with.
When he was waived from Minnesota ahead of free agency opening in the summer, the Bucks swooped to pick up Reynolds on a two-way deal at the end of July. And through that lens, the Bucks and the Herd will be hoping Reynolds can lead the way throughout the year as the Herd look to rebound from last season’s struggles.
